Paper Ballot Hand-Counting Simulation With SOS Candidate James Wiley!

On Saturday, August 15th, Secretary of State candidate James Wiley and his team will host the inaugural Boulder County Exhibition of the Colorado Union of Ballot Counters.
LOCATION: Christ Church International, 527 Main Street, Longmont, CO 80501
What to Expect:
– 4–5 simultaneous counting tables using a four-judge team method.
– An engaging and friendly competition between volunteer teams of four, with a fifth counter available to rotate in and give teammates a break.
– Republican State House and Senate candidates, along with other special guests, will speak and answer questions throughout the morning as counting continues.
– Opportunity for the public to observe every step of an authentic hand-counting process.
– Results announced on-site.
Schedule:
– 10:00–10:30 am – Arrival, mingling, team set-up, and enjoy the refreshments provided.
– 10:30 am – Counting begins.
– 10:30 am–1:30 pm – Parallel hand-counting and candidate speaking, Q&A’s.
– 1:30 pm – Final reconciliation and results.
– 1:50–2:00 pm – Closing remarks and announcement of future circuit dates.
Note:
– No prior experience is needed to join a counting team—just bring your enthusiasm and a commitment to participate fully.
– Come watch (or participate in) a live demonstration of the transparent hand-counting method Colorado law requires. Help launch the statewide Colorado Union of Ballot Counters circuit right here in Boulder County!
– This will not be a real election but a hand-counting election simulation to exhibit how hand-counting could take place under Colorado law, to educate election workers, and promote candidates who support the hand-counting of ballots in future elections.
