Brian lost his life’s battle with renal cell carcinoma on May 20^th.  Brian’s memorial service will be Sunday, July 20^th, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Flanders Park, 2115 N. Shore Drive, Longmont.  As you know, Brian was mayor of Longmont for two years.  He announced at Rotary a few months ago that he had lost his battle and he probably wouldn’t be around long. 

Chase, who is in the Coast Guard, and Brooklynn, who he just got to see graduate as the valedictorian at Silver Creek High School, were his wonderful children.  They are very, very dear.  His children are like ours, we just adore his children.  He and Stephanie had a very special relationship. 

Chase was able to stay home from the military to be with Brian.  About eleven instructors from Silver Creek brought Brooklynn’s diploma to the house and presented it to her while Brian was still alert.  It was really special.  She has received a full ride scholarship for Princeton. 

He always fondly called me “the Real Mayor.”  He will be greatly missed.
