PRESS RELEASE: Boulder County Republicans Supports Special Meeting to Consider Removal of Elected State Officers of CO GOP
For Immediate Release
Boulder County Republican Executive Committee
June 14, 2024
The Boulder County Republican Executive Committee convened June 13, 2024, and passed a motion approving the following public statement:
“The Boulder County Republican Executive Committee supports a special meeting of the State Central Committee to consider the removal of the electedstate officers of the Colorado GOP.”
During the discussion, members of the Executive Committee highlighted a diverse set of concerns including the recent divisive emails from Chairman Williams calling all people who identify as LGBT evil, threatening to dox members who disagree with his
comments, and labeling anyone who questions his ethics and leadership as part of the radical left child mutilating agenda. Additionally, he is essentially running his campaign for Congress through the CO GOP, and he has made negative statements against other Republican candidates running for office that the party has not endorsed. This type of behavior does not represent a leader with Republican values in Boulder County.
Ultimately, each member of the Colorado State Central Committee will make their individual decision to call for a special meeting of the State Central Committee. Should the meeting be convened, the members of the State Central Committee will determine the future of Chairman Williams and the other elected officers of the Colorado GOP.
Tara Menza
Chairwoman
