MARCH SPEAKER: George Tristan, Chairman Boulder County Republicans
Meet and speak with our new Chairman George Tristan. George moved to Colorado at the age of 19 as a young Marine stationed at Lowry Air Force base. After leaving the Marines he worked for Hewlett-Packard and is currently an engineer at Ball Aerospace. George, who is Hispanic, is a second-generation American citizen married to Teresa Tristan and has been in Longmont since 2018.
George’s vision for the county party is to see membership become more involved in the community through volunteer opportunities and partnerships with civic organizations. He envisions more grass-roots engagement with local and state elected leaders regarding bills, ordinances and onerous regulations that affect county residents and that are contrary to conservative values. He knows these values (fiscal restraint, public safety, solid education) resonate with most Boulder County residents who want to comfortably afford to live in safe communities raising their families–share them as well.
